Meta’s Enterprise Product team is responsible for building integrated, scalable, and robust enterprise applications. We are currently looking for an experienced, insightful, forward‑thinking Application Manager with demonstrated experience to design and execute products and solutions that power the enterprise. As a valued member of this team, you will be working with Tax teams to deliver Tax Management Systems or custom‑built solutions to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and tax compliance in support of business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and manage Tax systems roadmap aligned with business and company objectives
• Actively work with Tax and Cross Functional Teams to align product strategy, and influence Tax Systems roadmaps
• Design, build and deliver scalable tax processes and solutions
• Translate business requirements into new product, existing application configuration or feature to solve underlying business needs and scale global tax processes
• Define, instrument and track relevant product goals and success metrics to continually measure and uphold high quality solutions
• Work with product design and engineering teams to prototype, design and build products on Meta’s internal tech stack
• Lead and assist in managing Tax technology projects
• Manage and maintain Fusion Tax and Vertex related configuration, including Vertex Accelerator and Fusion Localizations
• Leverage Meta's Tax System to support eCommerce, Billing and Procurement processes and applications
• Support Tax, Accounting, Audit and Finance teams during period close and audits
• Define and automate processes to monitor Tax Applications, integrations, internal products, vendor applications and external entities to ensure systems are operating reliably
• Own legal entities onboarding, products and business process launches to ensure Tax requirements are supported by Tax Applications and Products
• Develop and maintain a well-coordinated internal relationship with key decision makers and with the wider enterprise engineering organization

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Tax, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or Data Science
• 5+ years hands‑on experience with configuring, implementing and scaling Tax Applications including tax calculation and reporting
• In‑depth knowledge of Fusion Tax and Vertex products footprint and technology architecture
• Proficient in Tax Management Application
• Understanding of Vertex and Fusion Tax integration features and functionality for Fusion ERP or other 3P integrations
• Experience in integrating Tax applications with in‑house and third‑party products (e.g.: Shopify, e‑Bay, Amazon, New Store POS, etc)
• Experience in anticipating the end‑to‑end impact of enterprise structure changes to Tax processes
• Domain knowledge of end‑to‑end business flows related to tax: e‑Commerce, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Intercompany, Subscription Management, etc
• Effective execution focus and navigates through complex business problems
• Product management mind set and experience to leverage data to prioritize and solve business problems
• Proficiency in SQL on Oracle and MySQL databases
• Experience with IT, tax audits, compliance requirements and system impact
• Understanding of design and use of web services and related standards (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON)

Preferred Qualifications

• Vendor Management experience
• Project Management experience delivering multiple end‑to‑end implementations
• Vertex or Fusion related certification
• Experience with workflow automation and AI
