Job summary

Kajaria Ceramics is seeking a Lead Applications (Web & Mobile) to drive end-to-end development, architecture, delivery, and continuous improvement of web and mobile apps. You will mentor a team, enforce best practices, and guide SDLC from design through production support.

The role requires strong full-stack expertise across React/Angular, React Native, Java/Spring Boot, and Node.js, with cloud, REST/GraphQL, and CI/CD experience. Based in Delhi, India, hybrid work may be considered.

Lead Applications (Web & Mobile)

Role Summary

The Lead – Applications (Web & Mobile) will be responsible for leading the end-to-end development, architecture, delivery, and continuous improvement of web and mobile applications across business functions. The role will manage and mentor a team of developers while driving the adoption of modern full-stack technologies and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development & Delivery

• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing web and mobile applications.
• Own the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ensure adherence to coding, performance, security, and quality standards.
• Manage application releases, versioning, deployments, and production issues.

2. Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Define and implement scalable application architectures, including microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
• Drive technology selection and establish engineering best practices.
• Promote the use of modern frameworks and technologies such as React/Angular, React Native, Java/Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and secure.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide architectural guidance to development teams.

3. Team Management & Capability Building

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of developers and technical leads.
• Allocate work, track deliverables, and ensure timely execution of projects.
• Build team capabilities in full-stack development and emerging technologies.
• Establish engineering discipline through code reviews, development standards, and best practices.

4. Stakeholder & Business Collaboration

• Work closely with business teams, Product Managers, UX teams, and other technology stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and effective technical solutions.
• Ensure application development is aligned with the organization's digital and enterprise architecture roadmap.

5. DevOps, Quality & Production Support

• Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Implement automated testing across unit, integration, and UI levels.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability.
• Lead resolution of critical production issues and drive root-cause analysis.

6. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement emerging technologies that can improve business outcomes and developer productivity.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML and GenAI capabilities where relevant.
• Improve development processes through Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering efficiency, application performance, and delivery speed.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 8–10 years of experience in application development.
• Proven experience in leading and managing development teams of approximately 5–15 members.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering enterprise-grade web and mobile applications.
• Experience managing the complete application development lifecycle.

Technical Skills

• Strong full-stack development expertise.
• Frontend: React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Mobile: React Native preferred; Flutter or native mobile development also considered.
• Backend: Java/Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes would be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI integration within enterprise applications.
• Experience in B2B, dealer management, sales, or other enterprise business platforms.
