Job summary

Aggreko in Pune seeks a Senior HVAC Design Engineer to assist the sales team by providing technical inputs, performing HVAC designs, site surveys and client discussions. You will lead engineering activities, develop technical proposals, bill of quantities and cost estimates for complex TC projects and coordinate with marketing to publish case studies.

The role requires deep HVAC knowledge, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and a proven ability to communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in HVAC design and related field.
• Experience in selection of Chillers, AHU, Cooling Towers, etc.
• AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Engineerging design and technical solutions for TC applications using TC fleet and equipment.
• Developing technical solutions during business development and sales processes with BD/Sales teams.
• Support sales team in resolving customer queries remotely and on-site.
• Attend technical sales meetings, site surveys, and present TC application solutions.
• Prepare Technical Proposal, PDP, BOQ, drawings and cost estimation sheets for complex TC jobs.
• Fleet mapping per enquiries and orders in hand.
• Release application notes/case studies with marketing support.
• Analyze field performance, test equipment, validate designs and contribute to software selection programs.
• Provide technical training and workshops to sales team on fleet and its application methods.
• Ensure skill development of TC technicians/engineers and maintain fleet readiness at depots.
• Propose ancillaries purchases to support business growth and fleet standardization.
• Advise on major service breakdowns of chillers, cooling towers, PHEs, ACs, AHUs, BACs.
• Contribute to new product development as required.

Purpose of the Job

Assisting sales team to understand the requirement technically and help with the required technical inputs such as BOM, technical proposal, etc.

HVAC/ Cooling design, site surveys (wherever needed) and technical discussion with customers.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum qualification required Graduate in Mechanical engineering.

Minimum 07 Years of experience in HVAC/ Cooling design and extensive work experience in selection of Chillers, AHU's, Cooling Towers, etc.

AutoCAD experience.

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the engineering, design and technical solution of TC application methods utilizing TC fleet & equipment for customers across various industry sectors.
• Developing technical solutions during business development & sales order process through close cooperation with BD/Sales teams.
• Support sales team in resolving customer queries both remotely and face to face.
• Attending technical sales meetings, site surveys and conducts presentations to potential customers on TC application solutions.
• Preparing Technical Proposal, PDP, BOQ, drawings & cost estimation sheet for complex TC jobs.
• Fleet mapping as per enquiries in hand & order in hands.
• Releasing application note/case studies with the help of marketing team.
• Analyze field performance of products, including performance testing of equipment, project design validation & participation in development of software selection programs.
• Provide technical training & workshops to sales team on fleets, equipment and its various application methods & principles
• Responsible for achieving adequate skill level of TC technicians & engineers and their capability enhancement
• Ensure Areas/depots have the appropriate fleet mix, configuration & necessary ancillary equipment in order to meet the supply & demand
• Propose ancillaries purchases for new fleet or equipment to ensure business growth support and fleet standardization
• Advisory assistance on major service breakdowns of Chillers, Cooling Towers, PHEs, ACs, AHU's, BAC's etc
• Product enhancement & adding value added products/ancillaries in fleet based on emerging HVAC trends in the market
• Ensure compliance as per standard ISO & QHSE policy
• Contribute to the new product development as per requirement

Desired Skills

• Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC/ Cooling field which include Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Conditioners, Air Handling Units, Heat Exchangers, Chilled Water Pumps, Buffer Tanks, etc.
• Efficient Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills.
