Job summary

YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc. Dubai is seeking a Fire & Security systems design engineer to design Fire Alarm, Access Control, Intruder Alarm and CCTV per account standards.

The role requires 3–8 years of experience, Diploma/BE in Electrical/Electronics, NICET/BS 5839 knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD. You will work with global clients, apply established standards, and help ensure on-time, quality project delivery. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE in Electrical or Electronics.
• 3–8 years’ experience in Fire & Security system design (mandatory).
• Fire code & security domain knowledge (mandatory).
• NICET/BS 5839 & Security System product Certifications (advantage).
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design Fire & Security systems per established standards and client requirements.
• Interface with customers to ensure projects meet schedule, budget and technical specs.
• Carry out Hardware Detail Design, engineering and application development, and related calculations.
• Develop typical/templates for complex systems and project-specific standards.
• Read and understand control narratives, logic diagrams, and Io matrices.
• Monitor work against the project plan and ensure quality documentation and QA.

What you will do

• Have strong domain knowledge of Fire & Security System engineering.
• Have global customer‑facing experience.
• Work independently and be proficient in applying established standards and practices.
• Act as interface to customers, ensuring projects are executed within agreed schedule and budget to meet technical specification requirements.
• Carry out Hardware Detail Design, Engineering and Application Development, Battery Calculations, Voltage drop calculations, etc.
• Develop typical/templates for complex systems and project‑specific standards.
• Read, understand Control Narratives, Logic diagrams, Io Matrix, etc.
• Monitor and control assigned work scope against the project plan, ensuring effective change control and identifying risks/opportunities.
• Ensure the proposed engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure group work in compliance with QMS procedures.
• Identify possible improvement opportunities and manage their implementation.
• Apply common methods, techniques, tools, and products effectively and provide feedback for future improvement.
• Review implementation of application with respect to project standards and quality documents.
• Ensure final deliverable meets customer functional specifications through quality checks.
• Use engineering tools to optimize engineering man hours to improve productivity & quality.
