Job summary

Optimized Solutions is seeking an Application Engineer to join our engineering team. You will work on Automated Test Equipment (ATE), instrumentation, test measurement, automation, and product engineering solutions.

Responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, supporting system development, troubleshooting, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Mechatronics or related field.
• Hands-on with test equipment, ATE concepts, and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of programming concepts and languages (LabVIEW, C/C++, Python, etc.).
• Willingness to travel to project/customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and translate to technical specifications.
• Support design, integration, testing, and commissioning of automated test systems.
• Work with multidisciplinary engineers to deliver reliable solutions.
• Configure test instruments, sensors, DAQ systems, and hardware.
• Develop and troubleshoot basic application software using LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, etc.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and system architectures.
• Assist in documentation, test reports, and customer deliverables.
• Travel to project/customer sites as required.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Application Engineer to join our engineering team and work on Automated Test Equipment (ATE), instrumentation, test measurement, automation, and product engineering solutions.

The role involves understanding customer/project requirements, supporting system development and integration, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical/application requirements.
• Support the design, development, integration, testing, and commissioning of automated test and measurement systems.
• Work with engineers across electrical, electronics, software, instrumentation, and mechanical disciplines.
• Configure and integrate test measurement instruments, sensors, DAQ systems, and other hardware.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot basic application software using LabVIEW, Python, C/C++ or other programming languages.
• Perform hardware and software troubleshooting with guidance from senior engineers.
• Conduct system-level testing, validation, and debugging.
• Assist in preparing test procedures, test reports, technical documentation, and customer deliverables.
• Read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and system architectures.
• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer/project sites.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Travel to project/customer sites as required.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Electrical and Electronics fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic components and circuits.
• Understanding of analog and digital electronics, sensors, switches, relays, motors, and actuators.
• Knowledge of programming concepts such as variables, loops, functions, conditional statements, and data structures.
• Knowledge of LabVIEW, C, C++, C#, Python, or JavaScript will be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of test measurement instruments such as DMM, oscilloscope, power supply, and function generator.
• Basic awareness of DAQ, instrumentation, automated testing, and ATE concepts.
• Basic understanding of communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, Modbus, CAN, etc.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and VFD is mandatory.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and basic system architectures.
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and technical documentation skills.
• Strong learning attitude and willingness to acquire new technical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel to project/customer sites is mandatory.

Education

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics Communication, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
