Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks an experienced professional to lead relay panel commissioning, testing and protection configuration. You will calculate settings for lines, transformers, busbars and generators, validate configurations and train customers on protections.

Fluent English is required, with 5–10 years in control/relay projects. You will work on PCM600, DIGSI, Easergy Studio, Agile Studio and related tools, aligning with Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity standards.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 5–10 years of experience in control and relay panel commissioning.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with protection schemes and relay configurations.
• Familiar with IED configuration tools (PCM600, DIGSI, Easergy Studio, Agile Studio).

Responsibilities

• Calculate relay settings for lines, transformers, bus couplers, busbars, generators and motors.
• Coordinate OC/E/F and other protective functions.
• Configure IEDs using PCM600, DIGSI, Agile Studio, Easergy Studio.
• Analyze faults with Wavein or Sigra; validate configurations.
• Create and review schematic drawings and perform function checks.
• Provide training to internal and external customers on protections.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy values of safety and integrity.

Your responsibilities

• Ensure calculation of Relay setting for Line, Transformer, BUS coupler, Busbar, Generator, Motor.
• Should have Worked with calculation and co-ordination OC/E/F.
• Should have worked on IEDs configuration tools like PCM600, DIGSI, Agile studio, Easergy Studio, etc.,
• Should have worked with Wavein or Sigra for Fault analysis.
• Should have Well versed with Schematic Drawings.
• should be able to do Validation of configuration.
• should be able to do Application check for functions.
• Should impart training to internal and external customer on Protections.

Your Background

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 5 – 10 years of experience in Control and Relay panel commissioning, Testing or Application.
