Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
• Strong experience with .NET Framework and C# in complex applications.
• Experience with SQL databases and unit/integration testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership for large/complex application systems in the domain.
• Design, develop and maintain .NET-based functions to meet requirements.
• Interact with IT teams to ensure system stability and align with IT architecture.
• Participate in production support, duty rotations and weekend coverage.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to validate technical specs.

Position - Application Developer - Dot Net Developer_Nordics - J50301

5 Days Work from office Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical responsibility for big or complex application systems in a respective domain
• Adhere to security, control and change control processes
• Design, develop and maintain functions by using .NET to fulfill the technical and functional requirements
• Interact with different IT teams within the company to ensure the system stability and to comply with IT architecture of the company
• Work with IT support teams to successfully implement new functions and to retain the maintainability of the application
• Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate the fulfilment of the technical specifications
• Code versioning
• Responsible for an important part of the full System Development Life Cycle
• Participate in production support/duty rotation including weekend and off-hour support coverage
• Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of the development

Technical Skills:

• Development experience with .NET 4.8 as minimum, preferred development experience with .NET Core
• Development by using C#.
• Hands on experience with SQL Databases.
• Able to write jobs by using JCL (Job Control Language)
• Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items
• Perform application support tasks like: systems support, security reviews and maintenance tasks
• Testing experience
• Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly.

Nice to have:

• finance industry background, preferred for insurance companies
• German speaking

Minimum Educational Qualification:

A degree in Computer Science or equivalent or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
