Job summary

Aon Corporation is seeking an experienced Application Developer to design, build, test, and maintain business applications for its global technology function. You will work across markets, delivering high-quality, secure software aligned with requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities include full SDLC participation, code reviews, CI/CD pipeline collaboration, and ongoing modernization with new frameworks and tools. Hybrid work option in India is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of application development experience in relevant languages/frameworks.
• Experience with modern development practices: Git, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum.
• Cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit-test application code based on business and technical requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, support.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality releases via CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of application development experience in relevant languages/frameworks
• Experience with modern development practices: version control (Git), CI/CD, Agile/Scrum
• Cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus

Technical Skills

• Programming languages: Java, C#/.NET, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript (per stack)
• Web frameworks: Spring Boot, .NET Core, React/Angular, Node.js (as applicable)
• Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and/or NoSQL
• Version control and CI/CD: Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps
• API development and integration: REST, JSON
• Testing frameworks and practices (unit, integration testing)
