Aon plc is seeking an Application Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain business applications for its global technology function. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, secure software aligned with requirements across markets in a hybrid setup with cab facilities.

The candidate should have 10+ years of relevant experience, a strong background in Java/C#/Python/JavaScript, and familiarity with CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of application development experience in relevant languages/frameworks.
• Experience with modern development practices: version control (Git), CI/CD, Agile/Scrum.
• Cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit-test application code based on business and technical requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, support.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality releases via CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services.
• Stay current with relevant frameworks, languages, and development tools.
