Preferred candidates hold a valid MLT certificate and are ready for home collection duties. This position is based in Mumbai Suburban with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Perform venipuncture, fingerstick or heel stick following sterile technique.
• Label samples accurately with patient data and test orders.
• Enter data into EMR and ensure traceability of specimens.

Responsibilities

• Blood Collection: Perform venipunctures, fingersticks, or heel sticks using sterile techniques and proper equipment.
• Patient Identification: Verify patient or donor identity carefully using identification bands, documents, or electronic records.
• Patient Care and Comfort: Explain procedures clearly, answer questions, and help anxious or nervous patients stay calm.
• Sample Labeling and Tracking: Accurately label all vials and containers with the patient's name, date, time, and test orders, then enter data into a database.
• Specimen Processing and Transport: Prepare, centrifuge (where allowed), store, and transport blood or bodily fluid samples to laboratories under controlled conditions.
• Infection Control and Safety: Follow strict hygiene guidelines, wear protective gear, properly dispose of needles and sharps, and sanitize work stations.
• Administrative and Support Tasks: Maintain stock and inventory of phlebotomy supplies, update electronic medical records (EMR), and assist medical staff
