Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru is seeking an API Testing professional to analyze requirements, design and run manual and automated API tests, and validate requests, responses, and status codes. You will build test plans, use Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or Insomnia, and automate with Rest Assured, Karate, or Postman/Newman, while collaborating with developers and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• Experience validating APIs across RESTful services.
• Experience designing and executing API test cases.
• Familiarity with SDLC/STLC processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements for APIs.

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases and test reports.

• Validate data integrity by testing backend databases (SQL queries).
• Log, track and retest defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams throughout the SDLC/STLC.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide testing updates.
