Job summary

Quadrant IT Services Pvt Ltd. Hyderabad is seeking an API Integration Developer with expertise in IBM API Connect to design, develop and maintain API integrations for global IT projects.

The role requires deep knowledge of API gateways, security standards, and OpenAPI specifications. You will participate in end-to-end integration work, analyze change requests, and provide testing support along with third-line support for existing integrations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT integration support or development.
• Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience on the IBM API Connect product suite, including development and configuration.
• Working experience with CI/CD and DevOps frameworks.
• Knowledge of API gateways, specifically IBM API Connect.
• Understanding of API authentication standards and authorization techniques.
• Experience with OpenAPI Specification standards, specifically YAML.
• Knowledge of JSON, JWT and JWKS; familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with OAuth 2 and API Key Manager; security implementations (Mutual Auth, Basic Auth, SSO, SAML).
• Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, and Kibana; strong documentation skills.

Job description

• Design, develop and maintain API integration solutions, based on IBM API Connect
• Participate as an API integration developer in Global IT projects
• Analyse and modify existing API integrations based on business change requests
• Adhere to the Development and Change processes established in the Development Team
• Provide support on integration testing
• Provide third line support for existing API integrations

Technical Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT integration support or development.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience on the IBM API Connect product suite. Including development and configuration
• Working experience with CI/CD and DevOps frameworks
• Knowledge and experience in the use of API gateways, specifically IBM API Connect.
• Must have understanding latest API Authentication standards and Authorization techniques.
• Should have working experience with Open API Specification standards, specifically YAML.
• Should communicate effectively with API owners, stake holders and technical teams.
• A good understanding of IT security in the context of API integration.
• Have experience of security implementations for Mutual Auth, Basic Auth, SSO, SAML, encrypt, decrypt, sign and verify.
• Experience in OAuth 2, API Key Manager.
• Knowledge of JSON, JWT and JWKS and their underlying specifications
• Knowledge of XSLT, XPATH, XQuery and RegEx
• Experience and knowledge in the use of the following technologies:
• GIT, specifically Bitbucket
• Jenkins
• JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket

• Must understand concepts like B2B, EAI, and ESB.
• Agile mindset of pulling the work from backlog rather being pushed to take the task.

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
