Job summary

Teamware Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced API Architect to lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise API solutions using IBM API Connect v10 and DataPower.

You will drive security, identity integration, and lifecycle management across multiple environments. The role requires 8+ years of experience with at least 5 years in API Connect and DataPower, and readiness to join within two weeks.

Qualifications

• Total experience: 8+ years in API design and development.
• Minimum 5+ years in IBM API Connect and DataPower.
• Experience in both IBM API Connect and DataPower is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of enterprise API solutions using IBM API Connect v10 and API management best practices.
• Publish APIs, Products, Catalogs, and Developer Portal assets across environments.
• Define and enforce API governance, security policies, design guidelines, and lifecycle management.
• Implement API security mechanisms: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, API Keys, and mTLS.
• Integrate API Connect with IdP platforms like Okta and Azure AD.
• Develop Gateway policies, GatewayScript, and transformation logic.
• Collaborate with architects, application teams, and security to deliver scalable APIs.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Drive CI/CD automation, deployment strategies, and release activities.
• Mentor API developers and conduct design/code reviews aligned with enterprise standards.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise API solutions using IBM API Connect v10 and API management best practices.
• Design and publish APIs, Products, Catalogs, Consumer Organizations, and Developer Portal assets across development, test, and production environments.
• Define and enforce API governance standards, security policies, design guidelines, and lifecycle management processes.
• Implement and support API security mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, API Keys, and Mutual TLS (mTLS).
• Integrate IBM API Connect with enterprise Identity Providers such as Okta, Azure AD, IBM Verify, and other authentication platforms.
• Develop and configure API Gateway policies, GatewayScript logic, request/response transformations, routing, and error-handling frameworks.
• Collaborate with solution architects, application teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure API solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, root cause analysis, and production support for API platform and API-related issues.
• Drive CI/CD automation, API deployment strategies, version management, and release activities across multiple environments.
• Mentor and guide API developers, conduct design/code reviews, provide technical leadership, and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards.
