Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Compliance, Risk Management, Computer Science, or related field.
• OR equivalent professional experience in compliance, governance, or risk management roles.
• 2-5 years in compliance, risk management, or governance roles, preferably in regulated industries.
• Experience supporting governance committees.

Responsibilities

• Manages AI use case intake process, including verification of completeness and any communication with submitters.
• Coordinates approval workflows across multiple stakeholders, approval tracking and documenting all decisions and rationale.
• Prepares agendas and materials for biweekly and quarterly meetings, manages meeting logistics for virtual/hybrid attendance, documents minutes and decisions, and coordinates with committee members and stakeholders.
• Maintains use case inventory, creates status reports on intake volume and compliance metrics, and serves as the primary point of contact for governance process inquiries and issue escalation.
• Ensures all governance processes comply with organizational policies and emerging regulations while maintaining comprehensive audit trails and communicating updates across the organization.

Position Summary

The AI Governance Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the organization’s AI governance program. This role involves working closely with the Head of Agentic AI Development / Operations and serves as the central administrator for AI use case intake, approval workflows, and governance committee oversight. The coordinator ensures compliance with organizational AI policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards while supporting senior leadership and cross-functional governance committees. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity that will give qualified candidates exposure to the emerging world of AI within the financial services space and allows exposure to other areas such as Privacy, Compliance and Risk.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manages AI use case intake process, including verification of completeness and any communication with submitters.
• Coordinates approval workflows across multiple stakeholders, approval tracking and documenting all decisions and rationale.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Foundational understanding of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles (transparency, fairness, accountability, security). Familiarity with bias evaluation, testing, validation requirements, data privacy, security principles, and integration of AI governance within enterprise risk management.
• Understanding of emerging AI regulations and compliance frameworks with ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational processes. Experience with compliance monitoring, documentation practices, and knowledge of governance committee structures.
• Collaborative thinking, stakeholder management, proactive communication, attention to detail, ability to work effectively with senior leadership, ethical awareness, strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving orientation, and commitment to continuous learning.
• 2-5 years in compliance, risk management, or governance roles, preferably in regulated industries, with prior experience supporting governance committees.
• Background in program or project management in complex environments.
