Job summary

Big Oh Tech in India is seeking an Android TV engineer to design, develop, and maintain TV apps leveraging Leanback components and ExoPlayer-based streaming.

You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, implement DRM and REST integrations, and ensure smooth remote navigation on Android TV across devices.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Android development with hands-on Android TV experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with ExoPlayer/Media3 for HLS, DASH, and DRM.
• Familiar with Leanback Library, Android TV UI, and remote navigation.
• Knowledge of MVVM, Jetpack components, Coroutines, and Flow.
• Experience REST APIs using Retrofit.
• Strong understanding of Android lifecycle, multithreading, and performance optimisation.
• Git and CI/CD practices.
