Job summary

Rentokil Pest Control South Africa is seeking an Android Developer to join our mobile team in Mumbai (Goregaon West). The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on Android development, proficient in Kotlin and Java, and strong knowledge of Android SDK, MVVM/MVP, Jetpack components, LiveData and ViewModel.

The role involves designing and implementing features, integrating RESTful APIs, Firebase, Room database, Retrofit/OkHttp, and ensuring performance and quality across devices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java with strong Android SDK knowledge.
• Experience with MVVM/MVP, Jetpack components, LiveData, ViewModel.
• Familiarity with Firebase, Room Database, Retrofit/OkHttp.
• Experience publishing apps on Google Play, Git/Bitbucket, and CI/CD basics.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.).
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
