Job summary

Groww in Bengaluru, India is seeking an Android engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to build robust native Android apps. You will work with Kotlin and Java, implement modern architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.

You’ll contribute to UI design, REST/JSON/XML integrations using Retrofit/OkHttp, and ensure smooth, scalable experiences across devices. This is a fast-paced fintech environment with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Android application development.
• Proficient in Android Architecture, Android Framework, Android SDK, Core Java, Kotlin.
• Hands‑on experience building native Android applications and mobility solutions.
• Strong expertise in UI components and controls (ActionBar, Widgets, Fragments, etc.).
• Experience with REST Web Services using Retrofit/OkHttp and JSON/XML.
• Knowledge of core Android components: Activities, Services, Intents, Broadcast Receivers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications for the Groww platform.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong understanding of Android Architecture, Android Framework, Android SDK, Core Java, Android Studio, Android Debugger, and Kotlin.
• Hands‑on experience building native Android applications and mobility solutions.
• Strong expertise in UI components and controls, including ActionBar, Widgets, Fragments, ConstraintLayout, etc.
• Strong understanding of core Android components such as Activities, Services, Intents, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers, Handlers, and Threads.
• Good experience with Web Service Integration using REST, JSON, and XML, with Retrofit and OkHttp.
