Job Description

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications.

Experience: 1 – 4 Yrs.

Responsibilities

• Very good Android/Java programming skills.
• Experience with database (MySQL/SQLite) design, MVC architecture, and working in Eclipse.
• Interest in Software Architecture and product development coupled with excellent communication skills.
• Good knowledge of design patterns for Android programming.
• Familiar with Android SDK and Java.
• Experience with GIT, XML, JSON and Web Services.
• Familiarity with native libraries such as WebSocket (advantage).
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a track record of solving customer problems through root‑cause analysis, especially on mobile applications.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Orchestrate technical and functional design by discussing with architects and tech leads, prioritising and helping product management with delivery commitments.
• Solid understanding of the mobile development life cycle.
• Good exposure to agile and scrum processes (advantage).
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with external data sources and APIs.
• Unit‑test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and reliability.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.

Additional Skills

• Debugging skills.
• Strong fundamentals to suggest mobile UI design recommendations.

General

• Product / captive experience with similar domains (consumer electronics/mobile) is a plus.
• Willingness to work overlapping time zones if required by project needs.

Qualifications

Education: Doctorate not required.
