Key Responsibilities

• Develop their Mobile/Merchant App for the Android platform from conceptualization to launch
• Deliver across the entire app life cycle - concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
• Development of quality code using cutting-edge techniques, tools and utilities
• Participate in team discussions regarding architecture and technical strategy
• working along the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support apps/web
• Create compelling mobile device specific user interfaces and experiences
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile/web technologies
• Strong team player with high energy/motivation level with a proven ability to deliver.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification

• A minimum of 2 years- hands-on experience either Eclipse with ADT and/or Android Studio.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Extensive experience with Java and full command of Android API on all OS versions
• Experience working a significant consumer app that is currently available in marketplace
• Strong knowledge of Android UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Solid understanding of Android app development life cycle including Google Play and Amazon app store compliance policies and submissions requirements
• Experience with Android performance tuning and crash reporting applications
• Familiarity with Agile Development & continuous integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with messaging related technologies like GSM, SMS,MMS, XMPP,SMTP
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Experience with embedded local storage solutions such as Sqlite or Couchbase Lite
• Experience with image manipulation and animation, including techniques like alpha blending
• Experience with iOS application development is a plus
• Solid understanding of Android app development life cycle including Google Play and Amazon app store compliance policies and submissions requirements
• Experience in working with Android Pay/Google Wallet is highly desirable
• Experience in working with iBeacons, & Eddystone SDK for Android
• Experience with wireless device to device communication standards (Bluetooth, BLE, NFC, WIFI)
• Experience with evaluating and integrating 3rd party API- s, including SDKs for social networks, advertising and analytics
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Ability to implement custom native interfaces using NDK
• Strong knowledge of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
