Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer with 2+ years of professional experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing Android applications. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, hands-on experience with Android SDK and Jetpack libraries, and practical knowledge of Jetpack Compose for building modern, responsive, and user-friendly mobile applications.

The candidate should understand Android application architecture, state management, API integration, and performance optimization, with the ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Build modern, responsive, and reusable user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and Material Design principles.
• Work with Android SDK, Android Jetpack libraries, and modern Android development practices.
• Implement and maintain application architecture using MVVM or MVP design patterns.
• Manage UI state, recomposition, and side effects effectively in Jetpack Compose.
• Implement navigation between screens using Navigation Compose and manage dynamic lists using LazyColumn and LazyRow.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and manage local data using SQLite and Room Database.
• Implement Firebase services, push notifications, and other relevant third-party integrations.
• Use ViewModel, Kotlin Coroutines, and Flow/StateFlow for efficient state and asynchronous data management.
• Identify, debug, and resolve application issues while optimizing performance and responsiveness across Android devices.
• Follow clean code principles, reusable component design, and appropriate error-handling practices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA engineers to deliver reliable mobile applications.
• Participate in code reviews, application testing, sprint planning, and other Agile development activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack libraries.
• Practical experience with Jetpack Compose, including:
• Composable functions and recomposition.
• State management using remember, mutableStateOf, and rememberSaveable.
• State hoisting and ViewModel-based state management.
• Side-effect APIs such as LaunchedEffect and DisposableEffect.
• Navigation Compose and efficient list rendering using LazyColumn and LazyRow.
• Good understanding of MVVM/MVP architecture and Android design patterns.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with JSON data.
• Knowledge of SQLite, Room Database, and local data persistence.
• Familiarity with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow/StateFlow, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with Firebase services and push notifications.
• Knowledge of Git and version control practices.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, application lifecycle, and performance optimization.
