Job summary

DMart is seeking an experienced Android developer to design and build scalable, high-performance mobile apps. You will use Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM/Clean Architecture to deliver production-grade applications published on Google Play.

You will mentor teams and contribute to architecture decisions, performance optimization, and offline synchronization across devices. Experience with Firebase, CI/CD, and agile processes is essential.

• Design and development of scalable, high-performance Android applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin with deep understanding of Android SDK and platform internals.
• Experience implementing MVVM, Clean Architecture, Repository Pattern, and Dependency Injection.
• Experience with Room Database, local storage, caching strategies, and offline synchronization.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and traditional Android UI development.
• Strong understanding of Android application lifecycle, threading, concurrency and memory management.
• Strong expertise in performance optimization, and mentoring development teams.

Skills required

• 6-8+ years of hands-on Android application development experience.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining production-grade applications published on the Google Play Store. Must have hand led 2-3 Apps end to end.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin with deep understanding of Android SDK and platform internals.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and traditional Android UI development.
• Strong understanding of Android application lifecycle, threading, concurrency, and memory management.
• Experience implementing MVVM, Clean Architecture, Repository Pattern, and Dependency Injection.
• Hands-on experience with Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON parsing, networking, and API integration.
• Experience with Room Database, local storage, caching strategies, and offline synchronization.
• Experience integrating Firebase services including Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging, and Performance Monitoring.
• Strong understanding of Push Notifications, FCM architecture, notification channels, deep linking, and notification handling.
• Experience implementing analytics and event tracking frameworks.
  
• Proficiency with Git, code reviews, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose in production applications.
• Knowledge of Dependency Injection frameworks such as Hilt, Dagger, or Koin.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience integrating payment gateways, authentication frameworks, and third-party SDKs.
• Understanding of Android security best practices, secure storage, encryption, and data privacy.
• Experience with analytics and customer engagement platforms such as Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer, CleverTap, MoEngage, or Mixpanel.
• Experience implementing A/B testing, feature flags, and experimentation frameworks.
• Exposure to large-scale consumer-facing applications, especially e-commerce, fintech, or marketplace platforms.
