Job summary

Carnation Infotech in Coimbatore seeks an Android Developer to own Android/AOSP development and automotive integration for next-gen infotainment systems. You will handle BSP/SoC bring-up, Android framework, and device drivers with emphasis on AAOS/Automotive Infotainment and build systems.

3+ years in Android development, strong Kotlin/Java and C/C++, hands-on with AOSP/HAL/JNI, and robust debugging skills are required. Hybrid work model in Coimbatore with exposure to automotive-grade software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Android development, preferably Automotive Android.
• Strong hands-on experience in Android Framework & AOSP.
• Strong Java/Kotlin and C/C++ programming skills.
• Experience with Android HAL (AIDL/HIDL) and JNI.
• Good understanding of Android architecture, system services & Binder IPC.
• Experience in Android BSP / SoC integration and board bring-up.
• Hands-on experience with Android build system (Soong/Make) and AOSP customization.
• Good knowledge of Linux Kernel, Device Tree & Android drivers.
• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) / Automotive Infotainment.
• Experience integrating display, audio, camera, connectivity, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, storage or other SoC peripherals.
• Strong Android system-level debugging using ADB, logcat, dumpsys, systrace/perfetto, etc.
• Experience with Git, Gerrit and CI/CD.
• Ability to independently own Android/SoC topics and drive issues to closure.
