Job summary

TheCodingShef in Pune seeks a Senior Software Architect for Android IVI platform development. You will own end-to-end architecture across apps, middleware, HAL, framework, kernel, and bootchain, shaping A12/A14/A16-based IVI solutions and OEM customizations.

Lead cross-functional teams, define interfaces (AIDL/HIDL), drive performance, security, boot time and power, and ensure ASPICE and ISO 26262 compliance while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Total experience 8–10 years with focus in Automotive Infotainment/Android IVI.
• Minimum 6+ years in Automotive Infotainment, Android IVI, BSP, or Embedded Systems.
• Experience with A12/A14/A16 Android and AOSP customization.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and own end-to-end Android IVI software architecture across apps, middleware, HAL, framework, kernel, and bootchain.
• Architect solutions for A12/A14/A16-based IVI platforms with OEM customization and scalability.
• Define architecture for AIDL/HIDL interfaces, system services, and HAL integration.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Android App, Middleware, Framework, Kernel, and Bootloader.
• Drive performance, security, reliability, boot time and power requirements.
• Create high-level and low-level architecture documents, interface specifications, API definitions, and design guidelines.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability using DOORS/DNG.
• Lead system-level integration and optimize bootloader, boot time, and platform stability.
• Mentor teams on debugging with logcat, systrace, perfetto, ftrace, and kernel logs.
• Ensure ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity standards; define coding guidelines and review cycles.
