Job summary

Kynhood is seeking a Native Android Developer to join our product engineering team and help build, scale, and maintain features. You'll work closely with cross functional teams to ship high-quality, performant Android experiences.

Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features while applying MVVM/MVI architecture and Clean Architecture principles.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Native Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose building production UI screens, state management, and Compose navigation.
• Strong experience with Kotlin Coroutines & Flow for asynchronous programming and reactive data streams.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Activity/Fragment lifecycle, and Android app architecture.
• Familiarity with MVVM/MVI architecture and Clean Architecture principles.
• Working knowledge of Retrofit/OkHttp for networking and JSON parsing (Gson/Moshi).
• Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger).
• Familiarity with unit testing and UI testing.
• Published at least one app on the Google Play Store.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have:

2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in Native Android development

Strong proficiency in Kotlin

Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose building production UI screens, state management, and Compose navigation

Experience with performance profiling and app size optimization

Understanding of Material Design guidelines

Nice to Have (Bonus Points)

Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) / iOS App development

Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small feature teams
