Job summary

Roche India is seeking a Senior Analytics & Intelligence Analyst to drive medical analytics initiatives and partner with USMA teams. You will leverage real-world data, claims, EHR/EMR, and clinical trial data to derive insights that inform medical strategies and improve patient outcomes.

The role requires 4–8 years in analytics/healthcare, strong SQL/Excel, and programming in Python/R/SAS. Collaboration across global teams and mentoring of juniors are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree in a quantitative/biomedical field with 4–8 years in analytics/consulting, including pharma/healthcare analytics.
• Strong experience in medical analytics and real-world data analysis.
• Experience with healthcare datasets (claims, EHR/EMR, clinical trials, field data).
• Good understanding of US Medical Affairs ecosystem and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst - Medical Analytics, you will collaborate closely with Field analytics & Insights - Medical, U.S. Medical Affairs (USMA) teams. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven medical strategy and enhancing patient outcomes through advanced analytics.

Your Opportunity

• Lead complex analytics initiatives supporting Medical Affairs across areas such as real-world data analysis, patient outcomes, treatment pathways, pre & post launch tracking, customer list generation and disease progression
• Partner with Field Medical and Medical Networks teams to generate insights from HCP/KOL engagement data, enabling optimization of medical strategies and field effectiveness
• Develop and implement scalable data pipelines, automation solutions, and analytical frameworks to process and analyze large healthcare datasets
• Work on analytics use cases spanning HEOR, medical impact assessment, patient journey analytics, and health equity research
• Leverage diverse datasets such as claims, EHR/EMR, clinical trial data, and interaction data (MSL/HCP engagements) to derive actionable insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate scientific and business questions into analytical solutions and deliver high-quality outputs
• Create clear and impactful presentations to communicate complex clinical and scientific insights to stakeholders
• Act as a thought partner by delivering high-quality, scientifically grounded analytics solutions and recommendations
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and stakeholder alignment
• Work across global teams and time zones to support business needs
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building within the team

Who You Are

• You hold a bachelor's degree in Technology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biostatistics, or a related discipline, with 4-8 years of analytics/consulting experience, including 2-5 years in Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare analytics. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Strong experience in Medical Analytics, real-world data analysis, clinical analytics, or outcomes research.
• Hands-on experience working with healthcare datasets such as claims, EHR/EMR, clinical trials, and field medical interaction data.
• Good understanding of U.S. Medical Affairs ecosystem, including Field Medical, Medical Networks, and Scientific Operations.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel, along with strong programming skills in Python, R, or SAS.
• Experience in building data pipelines, automation workflows, and scalable analytical solutions.
• Strong understanding of statistical techniques, data modelling, and analytical problem-solving.Exposure to therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, neurology, etc., is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
