Job summary

Publicis Production in Bengaluru is seeking an Analytics Engineer to transform raw data into curated data models and high-quality datasets that support reporting, product insights, and operational decision-making.

You will work with Databricks, BigQuery, PostgreSQL and Python, building scalable analytics solutions and collaborating with Data, Product, and Operations teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or Senior Data Analyst
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience building complex data models
• Experience using Python for data manipulation, automation, or visualisation
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, BigQuery, or other cloud data platforms (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake), including working with JSON data structures
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with Product, Operations, or business stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving ability and business acumen
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage end-to-end data tasks

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable analytics data models that support reporting, product, and operational workflows
• Transform raw data into reliable, well-structured datasets for business and analytics use cases
• Write advanced SQL queries to analyse datasets, troubleshoot issues, and identify trends and anomalies
• Use Python for data processing, automation, and improving analytical workflows
• Work with BigQuery, Databricks, PostgreSQL, and other data platforms to build scalable data solutions
• Investigate complex data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions independently or with Data Engineers
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data outputs
• Improve data quality, testing processes, and governance standards to ensure reliable reporting
• Support data discovery initiatives by exploring new datasets and enhancing existing data structures
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s analytics infrastructure and reporting capabilities

Job description

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer with strong technical and analytical expertise to join our Data & Analytics team within Production Technology.

In this role, you will use tools such as Databricks, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Python to transform raw data into curated data models and high-quality datasets that support reporting, product insights, and operational decision-making across the organisation. You will also explore and analyse additional datasets to support data discovery initiatives alongside Data Engineering and Data Science teams.

You will work closely with Data, Product, and Operations stakeholders, taking ownership of building and maintaining scalable analytics data models, resolving data issues, and delivering insights that drive measurable business outcomes. The role requires strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and the ability to communicate insights effectively.

This is an ideal role for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative, globally distributed team environment.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, or Senior Data Analyst
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience building complex data models
• Experience using Python for data manipulation, automation, or visualisation
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, BigQuery, or other cloud data platforms (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake), including working with JSON data structures
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with Product, Operations, or business stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving ability and business acumen
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage end-to-end data tasks

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with modern data tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Databricks-based workflows
• Experience working with BigQuery at scale
• Experience owning end-to-end data projects and building data models from scratch
