Job summary

Lennox International is seeking a qualified lease accounting professional to manage complex lease accounting activities and related financial reporting across the organization. You will oversee monthly close processes, ensure compliance with ASC 842, and coordinate with auditors and business units to deliver accurate disclosures.

The role requires 5–6 years of lease accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) along with tools for automation and analytics.

Qualifications

• Qualifications & Experience: MBA or professional accounting qualifications such as CA Inter / CMA Inter.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in lease accounting and financial reporting domain.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly close timelines by coordinating with accounting and business teams across Lennox entities.
• Review newly abstract lease data recorded in the lease management system for accuracy and completeness.
• Review lease invoice entries and adjustments for compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform and review lease-related general ledger reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Serve as a key point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders on lease accounting matters.
• Prepare and review lease accounting workpapers and disclosures for quarterly/annual reporting.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statement footnotes and disclosures for filings.
• Lead process improvements, standardization and automation in lease accounting workflows.

Job Description

This role is responsible for managing and reviewing complex lease accounting activities including reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis of Lennox’s leased asset portfolio.

The individual will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive monthly close timelines by coordinating with accounting and business teams across all Lennox entities, ensuring timely completion of lease-related activities
• Review newly abstract lease data (including incremental leases) recorded in the lease management system for accuracy and completeness
• Review lease invoice entries and adjustment postings made during the month to ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Perform and review lease-related general ledger reconciliations, identify variances and drive appropriate resolution through adjustment entries
• Review reconciliation outputs prepared by team members and ensure readiness for month-end close
• Act as a key point of contact for auditors, business units, and internal stakeholders, addressing queries and providing clarifications on lease accounting matters
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual lease accounting workpapers to support financial statement disclosures
• Support preparation and review of Accounting Disclosure Checklists in line with quarterly and annual reporting requirements
• Contribute to the preparation/review of financial statement footnotes (including but not limited to lease disclosures) for 10-Q and 10-K filings
• Drive process improvements, standardization and automation initiatives within lease accounting workflows

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• CA Inter / CMA Inter /MBA qualified
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in lease accounting and financial reporting domain.

Technical Skills

• Professional knowledge of ASC 842 – Lease Accounting (or ability to quickly gain proficiency)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and lease management tools is preferred
• Working knowledge of automation tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, VBA Macros and AI tools is preferred
