Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in utility scale solar plant designing and detailed design.

• Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical power systems, MV cabling and racking systems.
• Ability to communicate conclusions via well-organized layouts and layout summaries.
• Experience with geotech, environmental surveys and site calculations is a plus.

About the role

We are looking for a resourceful and driven professional to join the India office of DESRI, i.e., DESRI India Private Limited, based in Hyderabad, India. The successful candidate will be a part of the EPC Support Team and will regularly interact with the U.S. and Hyderabad-based teams, as well as external parties. This is a small, inclusive, highly skilled team responsible for supporting DESRI’s portfolio storage projects within a dynamic environment that values collaboration, thoughtful problem solving, and attention to detail.

What youll do

• In this role, you’ll be working on detailed PV plant designing of utility scale projects with focus on detailed designs and creating layouts for the same.
• You’ll be required to work on fixed tilt and tracker designs for Utility Scale Design collating various design datasets in the form of Geotech, Civil, topographic, environmental surveys of the site.
• You’ll be expected to provide relevant suggestions and inputs to optimize capacity by comparing and studying various layouts and design inputs.
• You’ll also be expected to simulate multiple iterations using Civil 3D or similar tools utilizing various combinations of plant components and provide an analysis of the total capacity obtained for the site.
• You’ll have to analyze impact of varied environmental parameters and understand the impact of parameters such as topo, shading and constraints while obtaining the overall capacity on the site.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a Master of Technology (M. Tech) in renewable/solar energy/power systems/ Geotech, with 2 - 6 years of experience in utility scale solar plant designing, detailed design.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D similar software, AutoCAD, QGIS, PVCase or 3D design software for layouts.
• Candidate should possess sound knowledge of AC/DC electrical power systems, MV cabling, various racking systems and various Design tools.
• The ideal candidate should have the ability to communicate conclusions via well-organized layouts and well-designed layout summary.
• PVCase, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, layout design and detailed design based on the actual site data and site calculations in terms of layouts.
• Candidates with good understanding of Electrical Engineering, Basic Civil Environmental Engineering and Geotech studies, MV Cable routing, large GIS data handling skills, knowledge in ASTM and NEC codes and standards, experience in the commissioning of solar plants, and field experience will have an added advantage.
