Job summary

TNS is seeking an Analyst - RTR to join our finance team in India. The role covers Month-End Closing, Fixed Asset Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, GL reconciliations, and journal postings.

You will prepare P&L reports, perform variance analysis, manage GST/VAT filings in local jurisdictions, and help maintain process documentation and SLA adherence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting (R2R).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Workday and ERP systems.
• Proficient written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing Activities - Perform Fixed Asset Accounting, capitalized software calculations and asset creation, Intercompany Accounting, accrual and pre-payment schedule preparation, inventory and PO accrual reconciliations, bank reconciliations, deferred costs, lease accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L and balance sheet packs, and variance analysis presentations.
• Preparation of workings for filing GST/VAT returns in local countries.
• Reconciliation of GST/VAT and payroll taxes payables per local GAAP to US GAAP.
• Develop/update/maintain process documentation/DTP.
• Follow desktop procedures and policies; initiate updates and seek improvements.
• Ensure delivery of services as defined in SLA/KPIs.
• Drive process efficiency and identify improvements.
• Assist in data collection for external auditors.

Overview

Record to Report - Accountant will be responsible for execution of activities such as Month-End Closing, Fixed Asset Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, General Ledger Reconciliations, Journal Entry Postings, Preparation of Profit & Loss reports, Variance Analysis, Accrual bookings and lease accounting.

Main Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing Activities - Perform Fixed Asset Accounting, Capitalized software calculations and asset creation, Intercompany Accounting, Accrual and Pre-payment schedule preparation, Inventory and Purchase Order accrual reconciliations, Bank Reconciliations, Determination of Deferred costs, lease accounting, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Preparation of Profit & Loss & Balance Sheet accounting pack and Preparation and presentation of variance analysis on monthly calls with Controllership team
• Preparation of workings for filing GST/VAT returns in local countries
• Reconciliation of GST/VAT and Payroll taxes payables per local GAAP ledger to US GAAP
• Develop/update/maintain an exhaustive process documentation/DTP
• Follows Desktop Procedures and adequate policies and guidelines in place, initiates Desktop Procedures updates whenever required and actively seeks for improvements
• Ensure delivery of services as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) /KPI's applicable for the role
• Drive process efficiency through identification of improvement areas and utilizing industry best practices
• Assist in pulling together data and back-up documentation for external auditors

Qualifications

• Overall 6+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting function (R2R domain)
• Good attention to detail, strong analytical skills
• Previous systems experience (Workday, other ERP systems)
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills
• Awareness & Knowledge on Financial Accounting
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Abilities

• Experience working on Workday
• Experience working on ERP like SAP ECC/S4 Hana/Oracle
• Experience in Transitioning / Setting up Accounting Processes in Shared Service Delivery Model
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Workday
• Good Knowledge of deferred Revenue, accruals and prepaid
• Ability to Report work on Trackers accurately on time

• B. Com, BBA, M. Com, CA, MBA (Finance) or CMA
