Job summary

Transaction Network Services seeks a motivated Finance & Accounting Apprentice to support the Record-to-Report (R2R) team in a global finance environment. This role offers hands-on experience with accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, taxation support, and ERP systems, ideal for recent graduates.

You will assist with month-end close, fixed assets, accruals, reconciliations, and preparing P&L and balance sheet packs, while learning internal controls and process

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the R2R team with month-end close activities.
• Support fixed asset accounting and asset creation.
• Prepare accrual and prepayment schedules.
• Perform inventory and PO accrual reconciliations.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports for management.

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Apprentice to support the Record-to-Report (R2R) team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands‑on experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, taxation support, and ERP systems within a global finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with month‑end close activities.
• Fixed asset accounting support and asset creation.
• Accrual and prepayment schedule preparation.
• Inventory and purchase order accrual reconciliations.
• Bank Reconciliations.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparation of supporting schedules and reports.
• Support the preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting packs.
• Assist in gathering and validating data for monthly variance analysis.
• Assist in reconciling tax‑related balances between local accounting records and global reporting requirements.
• Help maintain accounting records, trackers, and supporting documentation accurately and on time.
• Support the creation, update, and maintenance of process documentation and desktop procedures.
• Follow established finance policies, procedures, controls, and standard operating guidelines.
• Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and support implementation initiatives.
• Provide documentation and data support during internal and external audit activities.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
