Job summary

Eaton is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Maharashtra, India to manage end-to-end accounting processes, close activities, and reporting. The role requires strong knowledge of GL/FA, OTC/PTP, ERP tools, and a track record in multinational manufacturing environments.

The candidate will support audits, profit planning, and develop project plans to drive improvements. Excellent analytical, communication, and mentoring skills are essential in this position.

Qualifications

• Possess a good knowledge and experience of financial accounting and reporting standards.
• Perform month end close activities with journal entries, reconciliations, reporting & analysis; collaborate with sites on variances.
• Generate and distribute plant financial reports to key stakeholders.
• Provide analysis in clearing IC receivables/payables and APPO.
• Support Fixed assets reporting and reconciliation.
• Prepare Monthly/quarterly/annual RSD schedules with workings.
• Assist site in Statutory Audit, Annual DSA, SOX audits and balance sheet reviews.
• Prepare annual profit plan schedules and related schedules.
• Lead project plans to drive improvements, efficiencies and innovation.
• Prepare ongoing monthly and periodic financial reports.
• Analyze data, investigate variances, identify business drivers and impact on objectives.
• Promote financial stewardship, control costs, forecast accuracy, balance sheet integrity and policy compliance.
• Coordinate ad hoc financial requests and respond timely.
• Build scalable organization and mentor team in analytics.

Responsibilities

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

End To End Accounting

• Possess a good knowledge and experience of financial accounting and reporting standards.
• Perform various month end close activities (incl. calculation and preparation of various journal entries, reconciliations, reporting & analysis and compliance related activities etc.) with emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and properly supported balances. Partner with sites regarding account variances, account aging and recommend actions to resolve.
• Generate and distribute various daily, weekly, and monthly plant operational/financial reports to key stakeholders.
• Provide robust analysis in clearing of the IC receivables/payables and APPO outstanding transactions.
• Support Fixed assets related activities, reporting and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Accounting Degree (CA or CA Inter), MBA-Finance or B.com. (Accounting) with required experience.
• 6-8 years of accounting experience.

Skills

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to summarize findings and present solutions.
• Must have end-to-end process knowledge of GL/FA and a good understanding of OTC and PTP, encompassing overall accounting processes.
• Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools.
• Good experience with Oracle R12.
• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Hyperion, OBIEE, ENCORE, RADAR, DFT, etc.
• Experience in a multinational manufacturing industry.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable to varying cultures and working environments.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
