Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Functional Tester with experience in FinTech, OEMS, PMS, FO, and IM. The role involves designing, maintaining, and executing test cases, validating complex distributed systems, and championing QA best practices.
Qualifications & Experience (Required)
- 1+ year of professional software testing and functional test experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, TypeScript, VBScript) for test automation scripting and framework creation/maintenance.
- Experience with at least one automation tool (Selenium, Playwright, UFT) and testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, POM, Hybrid).
- Experience with at least one test management tool (ALM, TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, JIRA).
- Familiarity with QA best practices, workflows, and methodologies (Agile, Continuous Testing, Shift‑Left Testing).
- Knowledge of equity, bond, fixed‑income investments, securities, or financial markets.
- SQL query writing skills.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Background in FinTech, BFSI or other highly regulated, mission‑critical domains.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, JavaScript.
- Experience building API, integration, and end‑to‑end automated tests.
- Knowledge of SQL for test data design and validation.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of automation build tools such as Gradle, Maven.

Responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory reporting meets external requirements prior to delivery.
- Respond quickly, accurately, and thoroughly to internal and external inquiries.
- Submit defects in code updates, retest, and verify fixes.
- Work closely with Software Development Engineers to resolve defects.
- Apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product managers to define test execution and coverage.
- Understand and explain the general workflow, tools, and Clearwater value proposition.
- Learn rapidly, completing JIRA cases independently after six months.
- Develop and maintain reliable test suites for functional, regression, integration, smoke, canary, API, and performance scenarios.
- Engineer tools to simulate market events and validate complex financial workflows.
- Investigate test failures, conduct root‑cause analysis, and ensure regression prevention.
- Advocate for and implement QA best practices across the SDLC.
- Continuously evolve functional test scenarios to improve scalability and efficiency.
