Job summary

Wesco in Chennai, India seeks an Analyst - Purchasing and Inventory to optimize stock levels, improve service metrics, and support a lean supply chain. You will liaison with vendors to implement quality metrics and inventory control protocols that deliver competitive advantages.

Key duties include monitoring inventory, expediting orders, maintaining vendor contacts, and collaborating with sales and customer service to align lead times, pricing, and Returns.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Supply Chain or Business related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and recommend stock adjustments.
• Maintain customer inventory letters of intent.
• Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers and sales team.
• Expedite order delivery and ensure on-time delivery.
• Resolve receiving problems and invoicing issues.
• Place orders with suppliers as necessary.
• Collaborate with customer service regarding lead times and pricing.
• Communicate rescheduling to eliminate line stoppages.
• Maintain vendor contact base.
• Analyze and recommend inventory rebalancing and supplier returns.
• Coordinate intercompany and supplier returns.
• Prepare inventory-related reports and presentations.

Job description

As an Analyst - Purchasing and Inventory, your primary responsibility is to serve as the liaison with vendors using quality metrics and implementing inventory control protocols to optimize inventory and service levels ensuring the organization has competitive advantages throughout its supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Related Field required. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Related Field preferred.
• 2 years required, 3 years preferred of relevant experience.
• 3 years required, 5 years preferred of expediting experience.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask & work with several different departments
• Strong analytical skills
