Job summary

Sigma Allied Services in Bengaluru is seeking experienced Project Controls professionals with strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management for large-scale Power & Utility/EPC projects.   • Experience in project planning and scheduling.

  • Ability to perform critical path analysis.
  • Experience with Earned Value Analysis (EVA).
  • Proficiency in MS Project and advanced MS Excel.
  • Budgeting experience for CAPEX and OPEX.
  • KPI and project performance reporting.
  • Stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Prepare baselines and monitor schedule performance.
  • Identify critical paths and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Track milestones and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Identify risks and maintain risk registers.
  • Prepare cost estimates and monitor budgets.
  • Perform cost variance analysis and support procurement.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and weekly/monthly status reports.

Roles & Responsibilities


Project Planning & Scheduling



  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

  • Prepare project baselines and monitor schedule performance.

  • Identify critical paths and recommend mitigation plans.

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

  • Track milestones and ensure timely project delivery.


Risk Management



  • Identify project risks and prepare mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain project risk registers.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and review meetings.

  • Support management with risk-based decision making.


Cost Estimation & Control



  • Prepare CAPEX and OPEX estimates.

  • Monitor project budgets and forecast costs.

  • Perform cost variance analysis.

  • Support procurement during bid evaluations and cost benchmarking.

  • Ensure compliance with financial governance and audit requirements.


Performance Monitoring & Reporting



  • Develop KPI dashboards for schedule, cost, and risk.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.

  • Perform Earned Value Analysis (EVA).

  • Present project performance to leadership and stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)

  • Certification in Project Management, Cost Control, or Risk Management is an added advantage.

  • Experience with utility regulations such as CEA, CERC, and State Utility standards.
