Job summary

Thomson Reuters International Services Private Limited in Hyderabad is seeking a Finance Analyst to lead month-end close, prepare accruals, perform variance analysis, and draft commentary on key cost drivers, while preparing management decks.

You will support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning, build and maintain related financial models, review invoices and spend data for accuracy, and partner with business and accounting teams to ensure consistency across systems.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in finance with month-end close, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Clear written and verbal communication to explain numbers to non-finance stakeholders.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month end close by preparing and posting accruals, performing variance analysis and drafting commentary on key cost drivers and preparing decks for management review
• Support the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long‑range planning cycles, building and maintaining the related financial models and templates
• Apply strong attention to detail in vendor analysis and expense tracking, reviewing invoices, spend data and accruals to flag discrepancies, duplicates and unusual variances
• Partner with business and accounting teams to validate data and ensure accuracy and consistency across systems and reports
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and presentations for finance leadership, and identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting and planning processes

Required Qualifications

• Professional Qualification in Finance (CA, CMA, MBA), with a good understanding of month‑end close process, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain numbers to non‑finance stakeholders, manage multiple deadlines and collaborate across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to ERP and planning tools such as SAP, Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan or OneStream
• Working knowledge of visualisation tools such as Power BI, AI‑generated artefacts
• Familiarity with accounting principles #LI-KP1
