Job summary

Metayb, a digital transformation company, seeks a Finance professional to strengthen financial control, reporting, and analytics. This role involves coordinating with SAP, Power BI, and SQL tools to ensure accurate statements and compliant processes.

You will work in a hybrid setup with opportunities for international travel as needed, supporting month-end close, intercompany activities, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• CA (2026 passout) preferred.
• Experience in financial control, management reporting, and business analyses.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing preferred.
• Advanced Excel, ERP SAP, Power BI, SQL for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities with journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve open items promptly.
• Prepare financial statements, audit schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Manage fixed asset register: capitalization, depreciation, disposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of open items.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, audit schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Manage and update the fixed asset register, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger postings and maintain compliance with Ind-AS/IFRS.
• Support intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations and variance follow-up.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors by providing required data and explanations.
• Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Assist with process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to improve reporting efficiency.
• Support monthly payroll validation by coordinating with HR for attendance, variable inputs, and employee master data.
• Assist in statutory compliance checks by preparing required reconciliation data.
• Prepare basic payroll MIS reports and maintain payroll-related records.
• Help address simple employee payroll queries through coordination with HR.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountants (2026 Passouts) will be preferred
• Work experience with financial control, management reporting, and business analyses, preferably with an FMCG, Manufacturing sector
• Advanced technical skills in Excel, ERP (SAP preferred) and PowerPoint experience with reporting & analytical tools like Power BI, SAP Analytics, Business-Intelligence environments, SQL, etc
• Strong numerical strength and demonstrated knowledge of accounting fundamentals
• Effective communication and influencing skills (using data and numbers)
• Stakeholder Management experience, along with Business Partnering
• Ability to work according to EMEA time zone (12 PM to 9 PM).
• Willingness to travel to Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, and South Africa as required.
