The role requires IFRS expertise, strong Excel skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Based in Gurugram, you will collaborate with IT and other functions to optimise systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant – CA/CMA/ACCA.
  • First class honours bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills and data analysis ability.
  • Stakeholder engagement and team collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Manage preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements.

Job Description Purpose of the role To manage the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting. Accountabilities Management of the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, and other accounting records in accordance with the relevant accounting standards, rules and regulations. Support in identification,assessment,and mitigation of financial risks, and report on these financial risks to senior colleagues. Development and maintenance of a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure that there is no fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data, including regular assessment of the effectiveness of internal controls addressing any weaknesses or gaps. . Development and implementation of up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices across the organisation. Management of the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues to integrate financial systems with other enterprise systems. Preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and provision of support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports. Coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities in support of audits and examinations. Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Qualified Accountant – CA/CMA/ACCA.
  • Strong academic background – 1st class honour's minimum bachelor degree from a reputable institution.
  • Prior experience, if any in a month-end or quarter-end focused reporting role or control environment based or finance automation skillset based.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the key accounting principles under IFRS.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills and understanding & executing their requirements / expectations.
  • Automation tools related knowledge.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter, pro-active and a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator.
  • Willingness and ability to take ownership of issues and manage through to a successful resolution.
  • Eye for detail and exception track record in managing and resolving conflict situations.
