The Corporate Institute is seeking an Analyst / Associate Commercial Due Diligence for the Consumer Sector in Mumbai. This role will involve conducting market research, building financial models, and supporting investment decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate with leadership and external advisors, manage diligence processes, and contribute to portfolio valuation efforts. This position requires strong analytical skills and sector experience.

Qualifications

Analyst / Associate Commercial Due Diligence – Consumer Sector

Job Location: Fort, Mumbai (Transitioning to Worli in 2 to 3 Months)

Role and Responsibilities:

• Conduct industry research to build sectoral thesis, identify top priority segments and shape funds investment thesis.
• Develop and review financial models, analyze investment memoranda, source and process company data, map competition and analyse other investment metrics to evaluate the attractiveness of potential investments.
• Provide analytical support and insights to leadership.
• Prepare clear, structured IC memos to support investment recommendations.
• Assist leadership in executing transactions, including appointment of advisors, coordination of diligences, managing external stakeholders, reviewing legal documents etc.
• Monitor portfolio companies and perform periodic valuations and analysis.

Requirements:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant or Master’s degree in finance, economics, business from reputed institute.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, Corp. M&A, family office or a related field.
• Strong understanding of finance and investment principles, including financial modelling and valuation techniques.
• D2C or Consumer sector experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
