Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances and health & biosciences, seeks a GL Reconciliation Specialist in Hyderabad. The role focuses on daily GR-IR reconciliations using SAP and Blackline, with audits and process improvements as core duties.

The candidate should have 0–2 years of GL reconciliation experience, an accounting qualification, and strong Excel/IT skills. Hybrid work model in Hyderabad with learning opportunities and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with CA/CMA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in GL reconciliation.
• Proficient in Excel (incl. Macros), Blackline, and MS Office.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS; SAP FICO experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily GR-IR reconciliations using SAP and Blackline.
• Monitor GR-IR balances; review aged items; resolve mismatches with Procurement, AP, Receiving.
• Prepare reconciliation documentation for audits and ensure internal controls compliance.
• Support audits by providing reports and acting as focal point for auditor communications.
• Review reconciliations in Blackline; analyze trends and manage process metrics.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Perform daily GR-IR account reconciliations using SAP and Blackline, ensuring timely resolution of open items.
• Monitor GR-IR balances, review aged items, and collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Receiving teams to resolve mismatches.
• Prepare and maintain reconciliation documentation for audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing reports, explanations, and acting as the focal point for auditor communications.
• Review account reconciliations in Blackline, analyze trends, complete fluctuation analysis, and manage process metrics for transparency.
• Organize monthly briefings with GPOs, implement policy updates, and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Identify and elevate reconciliation issues, perform root cause analysis, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Act as the focal point for external financial and statutory filings, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local accounting principles, and legal requirements.
• Propose and implement practical solutions and new ideas to improve work processes, reduce complexity, and drive continuous improvement.

What Makes You The Right Fit

• Qualified Accountant (CA, CMA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA) with a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
• 0–2 years of experience in GL reconciliation with strong technical accounting skills.
• Proficient in Excel (including basic Macros), Blackline, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and sound understanding of SAP FICO.
• Strong analytical ability to summarize processes and information clearly and concisely.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with clarity in thought process.
• Ability to share knowledge and collaborate professionally across teams.
• Demonstrates initiative and adaptability to work in a fast‑paced environment during peak periods.
• Proactive in proposing ideas and solutions to improve processes and drive efficiency.
