Job summary

Theobroma Foods is seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement professional to drive Lean initiatives and standardize processes across manufacturing operations in India. You will lead value stream mapping, data-driven problem solving and cross‑functional projects to boost productivity, quality and cost efficiency.

You will develop SOPs, support QMS and facilitate sustainable improvements while collaborating with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Planning teams to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Food/Industrial/Mechanical).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt mandatory.
• Certifications in TPM/WCM/Kaizen or Operational Excellence are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive Lean, 5S, Visual Management and Waste Elimination across sites.
• Manage OpEx projects from concept to implementation and track savings.
• Create dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs (Productivity, Quality, Cost).
• Lead root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto and PDCA, and coordinate cross‑functional teams.

Job description

Job Purpose

To drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations through Lean methodology, Quality Management Systems, and data-driven problem-solving. Improve productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety and overall operational efficiency across manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Continuous Improvement

• Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management and Waste Elimination.
• Conduct Time Study, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and process mapping.
• Execute productivity, quality, cost and process optimization projects.
• Develop SOPs, Work Instructions and Checklists.
• Support QMS, Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, ISO and other standards.

2. Project Management

• Manage OpEx projects from concept to implementation.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain and Planning.
• Track milestones, timelines and savings realization.
• Prepare monthly review presentations.

3. Performance Management

• Monitor OpEx KPIs (Productivity, Quality, Waste, OTIF, Cost).
• Create dashboards and reports.
• Track progress and benefits; ensure sustainability of improvements.

4. Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis

• Use 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto and PDCA.
• Support teams in resolving chronic issues.
• Lead cross-functional projects to address quality, productivity and efficiency gaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt – Mandatory.
• Additional certifications in TPM, WCM, Kaizen or Operational Excellence will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• 4 – 6 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Industrial Engineering or Continuous Improvement.
• Experience in Bakery, Food Processing, FMCG or Manufacturing industries preferred.
