Job description

Responsibilities

• Support engineering, procurement, technical evaluation, vendor management, and project scheduling for all non‑BTG mechanical systems.
• Lead planning, engineering, procurement, and contract management activities for BOP auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate effectively between design consultants, site construction teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Review and approve detailed engineering drawings, layouts, General Arrangements (GAs), and isometrics for systems such as Cooling Water, Fuel Oil, Ash Handling, Water Treatment Plant, HVAC, Compressed Air, Coal Handling Plant, Railway Siding, and Raw Water Pipeline.
• Review vendor technical submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications, ASME, and IBR standards.
• Conduct 3D model reviews for clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination across piping, civil, and electrical disciplines.
• Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), support vendor negotiations, and coordinate timely procurement activities.
• Resolve technical and site queries, manage deviations and change orders, coordinate pre‑dispatch inspections, and ensure timely issuance of engineering deliverables to support project execution.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience in thermal power projects with plant capacity above 600 MW.
• Experience in project engineering or project management within Thermal Power Plants (EPC or Developer).
• Additional preference if candidate has Knowledge of BOP System design, engineering and layout.
