Manpower Resources India seeks an AM/Manager- Geologist (Mines) for Gurugram to lead geological, exploration, mining planning, and reserve estimation across existing mines and new auction blocks.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience and a degree in Geology (BSc/MSc/BTech/MTech). You will coordinate borehole planning, drone survey data interpretation, and regulatory submissions to IBM, DGMS and DMG.

Qualifications

Poistion Title : AM/ Manager- Geologist (Mines)
Location: Gurugram
Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. / B.Tech./M.Tech. in Geology / Applied Geology

Experience: 5-7 Years


Purpose of the Role : To support and lead geological, exploration, mining planning, reserve estimation, and statutory compliance activities across existing mines and new auction blocks. The role is responsible for geological assessment of mining areas, preparation of geological maps, sections, borehole summaries, reserve/resource estimation using Datamine and sectional methods, and development of mining plans and KML files using geological and drone survey data. The position will also coordinate and plan exploration programs, including borehole planning, drilling requirements, and interpretation of exploration data, while ensuring timely preparation and submission of statutory documents and notices to IBM, DGMS, and DMG.


Key Responsibilities
1. Auction Blocks
  • Preparation of Geological Maps, Location Maps and Borehole Summaries for auction blocks.
  • Conduct detailed geological studies and field visits of prospective mining areas.
  • Carry out reserve estimation using Datamine software and sectional methods.
  • Analyse geological data to support evaluation of new auction blocks.
2. Mining Plan
  • Preparation of Geological Plans, Sections and KML files for running and new mines.
  • Calculate OB, waste and limestone quantities based on available geological and survey data.
  • Prepare plans, maps and other required documents using drone survey data.
  • Support preparation and submission of mining-related documents to IBM.
3. Exploration Work
  • Plan exploration activities based on geological and field studies of the area.
  • Prepare borehole plans, geological plans and sections for drilling programs.
  • Calculate required drilling meterage and identify/prepare coordinates for borehole locations.
  • Plan drilling programs for existing Mining Leases and new Auction Blocks.
  • Prepare geological maps and borehole summaries for explored areas.
  • Carry out reserve estimation using Datamine software for explored areas.
  • Coordinate with field and drilling teams to ensure exploration activities are executed as planned.
4. Legal & Statutory Compliance
  • Preparation of statutory notices and documentation related to IBM, DGMS and DMG.
  • Ensure geological and mining documentation is maintained as per applicable statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal teams and regulatory authorities, wherever required.
