Job summary

A. K Group in Mumbai seeks a VP of Operational Risk to lead an enterprise-wide risk framework across lending, investment, treasury and support functions.

The role focuses on establishing robust RCSA/KRI processes, driving risk controls, and ensuring timely reporting to senior management and the Risk Committee. Experience in NBFCs/financial institutions is essential.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in operational risk/internal controls with a bank, NBFC or financial institution.
• Hands-on experience in building RCSA/KRI frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the operational risk framework covering RCSA, KRIs, loss events, incident reporting and key process/control risks.
• Review new products, processes and system changes and identify control gaps across lending, treasury and operations.
• Oversee outsourcing/partner and vendor risks, including periodic reviews of lending partners and key customer-facing processes.
• Oversee the BCP/DR framework and operational risks relating to fraud and IT/cyber, working with Compliance, IT and InfoSec.
• Ensure root-cause analysis and timely closure of operational risk issues and report key risks to senior management/Risk Committee.
• Establish a strong operational risk and control culture across the organization.
