Job summary

ePlane company is seeking a qualified engineer with 3–5 years of experience in mechanical systems and airframe design for its VTOL aircraft. You will interact with design groups to ensure DGCA compliance for Type Certification and ITSO authorisation, applying FEA and CAD tools.

Responsibilities include performing structural analyses, validating load calculations, and contributing to safety-critical analyses of aerostructures and transmission systems within a fast-paced aero- propulsion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace/mechanical/structural engineering or related field.
• Experience in fixed/rotary wing aircraft structural design and analysis.
• Good knowledge of composite materials.
• Experience with load calculations and optimization of aircraft structures.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and safety-critical analysis for aerostructures.
• Knowledge of DGCA design rules, type certification, DOA and ITSO authorisation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design groups to ensure DGCA compliance for Type Certification.
• Perform structural analysis and design reviews for airframe and transmission systems.
• Develop safety-critical analyses and document technical results.

Job description

The Airworthiness group at ePlane company is looking for someone with experience in Mechanical systems specifically across airframe design & analysis and transmission systems for ePlane's electric propulsion VTOL aircraft, to interact with ePlane design groups for the compliance of DGCA's applicable design requirements for the Type Certification of the aircraft.

Tech Skills:

• Computational modelling, Finite element analysis (FEA), CAD software (such as CATIA, SolidWorks)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Working experience in fixed/rotary wing aircraft/UAV/VTOL aircraft structural design and analysis
• Good knowledge in composite materials.
• Experience with load calculations and optimization of aircraft structures.
• Understanding of Mechanical Systems
• Experience in developing safety critical analysis for aerostructures and mechanical systems
• Knowledge in DGCA rules & regulations specifically on aircraft Type Certification, design organization approval and ITSO authorisation.

Good to Have

• Master's degree in Aerospace or Structural Engineering .
• Previously worked on development of composite based drones or aircraft
• Understanding of CS/FAR-23 or CS/FAR-27 regulations of EASA / FAA
• Prior experience in working on Type certification and ITSO authorisation
• Knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Lean methodologies.
• Experience in maintenance, reliability analysis, and risk assessment.
• Understanding of Prototype manufacturing of aircraft
• Knowledge in preparation of technical documents and manuals for the type certification.
