Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in airfield drainage systems, with focus on airside infrastructure.
  • Expertise in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, Civil 3D).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS tools, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airfield Drainage Expert with over 15 years of expertise in designing, managing, and maintaining drainage systems in airside environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of airfield drainage design, stormwater management, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the safety, functionality, and sustainability of airside operations. This role requires technical proficiency, project management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions for complex airside projects across Pan India.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and optimization of airfield drainage systems, including surface and subsurface drainage networks.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess stormwater flow and drainage efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local standards, such as ICAO, FAA, and local environmental regulations.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of airfield drainage projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, contractors, and environmental specialists.
  • Manage procurement processes for drainage materials and equipment.
  • Provide expert guidance on drainage system design, installation, and maintenance for airside infrastructure.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to airfield drainage.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative drainage solutions, such as permeable pavements and sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS).
  • Ensure drainage systems meet environmental standards to prevent waterlogging, erosion, and contamination.
  • Prepare environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies for airside drainage projects.
  • Monitor and report on drainage performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Lead technical workshops and training sessions to enhance team capabilities in drainage engineering.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored drainage solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation to stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between regulatory authorities and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in airfield drainage systems, with a focus on airside infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of stormwater management, erosion control, and flood mitigation techniques.
