Job summary

Somo Media is seeking a creative prompt engineer to craft detailed prompts for AI video generation from scripts and storyboards. You will translate scenes into visual directions for characters, backgrounds, lighting, and camera moves, working on AI-produced videos for microdramas, YouTube content, and social media.

Collaborating with writers, editors, and AI operators, you will refine prompts to improve cinematic quality and emotional impact, while building reusable libraries and style guides

Qualifications

• Experience creating prompts for AI video generation tools based on scripts and storyboards.
• Ability to translate scenes into clear visual prompts with direction for look, lighting, and camera.
• Familiarity with AI-generated video workflows for microdramas, ads and social content.
• Ability to maintain character consistency across scenes and episodes.
• Experience reviewing outputs and suggesting improvements to visuals and motion.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed prompts for AI video generation tools based on scripts, storyboards, characters, and creative briefs.
• Convert written scenes into strong visual prompts with clear direction for character look, background, lighting, camera angle, movement, mood, and emotion.
• Work on AI-generated videos for microdramas, YouTube content, short-form videos, ads, social media creatives, and experimental content.
• Maintain character consistency across multiple scenes and episodes.
• Suggest visual improvements to make scenes more cinematic, emotional, and engaging.
• Work closely with writers, video editors, creative producers, and AI tool operators to produce high-quality video output.
• Understand the difference between weak prompts and strong prompts, and keep improving prompts based on AI output.
• Create prompts for different styles such as cinematic realism, semi-anime, fantasy, horror, romance, drama, thriller, and social media content.
• Review AI-generated outputs and identify what needs to be improved: face, costume, camera movement, lighting, background, emotion, continuity, or scene clarity.
• Build prompt libraries, character prompt sheets, scene templates, and style guides for repeatable video production.
• Stay updated with new AI video tools and creative workflows.
