Job summary

Fairdeal.market, based in Gurgaon, seeks an AI Product Lead to join the Founder’s Office and own the AI product strategy from discovery to scale. You will work directly with the Founder to identify high-impact AI problems, develop a vision, and ship AI-led solutions for kirana retailers.

This role requires deep product thinking, GenAI expertise, and the ability to distinguish a demo from a scalable product, with end-to-end ownership of delivery and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling technology products.
• Strong experience in Product Management / 0-to-1 product building.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI and modern AI product development.
• Ability to differentiate between an AI demo and scalable product.
• Experience working closely with engineering and data teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial AI Product Leader to join the Founder’s Office and take complete ownership of this opportunity. This is not a traditional Product Manager role. You will work directly with the Founder to identify high-impact problems, understand retailers deeply, define the product vision, experiment with AI-led solutions and take products from 0 → 1 → scale.

You will be expected to distinguish between an impressive AI demo and a product that customers will actually use and pay for. The ideal candidate combines product thinking, GenAI understanding, customer obsession and exceptional execution.

What You Will Do

• Own the AI product roadmap from problem discovery to execution and scale.
• Identify high-value use cases where AI can improve retailer productivity, profitability and decision-making.
• Spend significant time understanding the real-world behaviour and pain points of kirana and small retailers.
• Translate customer problems into clear product requirements, workflows and measurable outcomes.
• Evaluate and implement Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents and automation where they create genuine product value.
• Build and test rapid MVPs and prototypes to validate ideas before investing heavily in engineering.
• Work closely with Engineering, Data, Operations, Category, Supply Chain and Business teams to take products live.
• Define product metrics and continuously measure adoption, engagement, retention and business impact.
• Own product prioritisation and make clear trade-offs between speed, impact and complexity.
• Develop a strong understanding of retailer data, transaction behaviour, inventory, assortment, pricing and replenishment patterns.
• Take products from early experimentation to scalable, reliable systems used across the Fairdeal.Market network.
• Present product strategy, progress, learnings and business impact directly to the Founder.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling technology products used by real customers.
• Strong experience in Product Management / 0-to-1 product building / Founder’s Office / Product Strategy.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI and modern AI product development.
• Ability to differentiate between an AI demo, feature and scalable product.
• Experience working closely with engineering and data teams.
• Strong customer discovery and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and independently drive initiatives from idea to execution.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a bias toward action.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Good to have

• Experience building AI-first products, AI agents or LLM-powered applications.
• Experience in B2B, B2B2C, Retail, E-commerce, Quick Commerce, FMCG or Supply Chain.
• Experience with recommendation engines, demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, pricing, assortment or replenishment products.
• Experience working in an early-stage startup or directly with founders.
• Technical understanding of APIs, LLMs, AI workflows, data pipelines and product experimentation.
• Experience taking a product from 0 → 1 and subsequently scaling it.
