Job summary

TalAstra HR Consultants Private Limited in Pune/Hybrid India is seeking Platform and Source-Control Engineer for complex migrations to GitHub Enterprise. You will own end-to-end migration of large repositories, preserve history, and migrate CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins, Bamboo, and Azure Pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating code repositories into GitHub Enterprise from Bitbucket/SVN/Azure DevOps with full history preservation.
• Migration of CI/CD pipelines to GitHub Actions from Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure Pipelines, or TeamCity.
• End-to-end pipeline ownership including Artifactory, containerization, and production-ready deployments.
• Design of access and permissions, SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, and secrets management.

Platform and Source-Control Engineer DevOps AI Pod

We're looking for someone who has done the hard part of platform migrations: walking into large enterprises with tangled source-control history, brittle CI/CD, and legacy permission models and turning them into a GitHub Enterprise platform that teams can actually build, ship, and scale on.

This is not a greenfield platform role. We need engineers who have migrated real repositories, preserved real history, and cut over real pipelines without freezing delivery.

What We Need

• Hands-on migration of code repositories into GitHub Enterprise from Bitbucket, Subversion (SVN), Azure DevOps/TFS, and others with full history preservation, large repos, and Git LFS
• Migration of CI/CD pipelines to GitHub Actions from Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure Pipelines, or TeamCity
• End-to-end pipeline ownership: Artifactory (preferred), containerization, release automation, production-ready deployments
• Access and permission design: SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, secrets management
• Migrations from additional source-control systems such as GitLab, Perforce, or AccuRev
• GitHub Advanced Security enablement across repos and pipelines
• Self-hosted runner infrastructure design for GitHub Actions
• Large-scale migration leadership 20+ repositories as a coordinated program
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent) and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Leadership in end-to-end migrations: issues, history, permissions, and seamless cutovers without code freezes
• Delivery under fixed deadlines without disrupting product team releases

How to stand out

Be ready to walk us through a specific migration what you moved first, what you deliberately deferred, how you handled in-flight PRs and branch protection during cutover, and how long it took. Generic "migrated repos to GitHub" answers won't pass.
