Job summary

Zycus is inviting BE/B.Tech 2026 graduates to join as engineers who will help build scalable software and leverage AI to boost productivity. You will work on AI-enabled enterprise software from day one, with Merlin AI powering autonomous workflows.

In this role you will learn backend technologies, collaborate with senior engineers, and contribute to production-grade Java applications, REST APIs, and microservices while applying AI-driven development practices.

Qualifications

• 80% or equivalent CGPA in 10th, 12th, and BE/B.Tech with no active backlogs
• Strong fundamentals in DS & Algorithms, OOP, DBMS, OS and Computer Networks
• Proficiency in Java (preferred) or any OO language
• Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn AI-driven development
• Interest in AI-assisted software development through projects, hackathons, internships, coding competitions, or open-source contributions

Key Responsibilities

AI-Augmented Engineering

• Use AI tools to assist in coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and learning new technologies.
• Learn and apply prompt engineering techniques to improve development productivity.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to build production-grade software using AI-assisted workflows.
• Continuously explore emerging AI tools and best practices.
• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build REST APIs and microservices under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Work with databases, data models, and application integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions.

AI-Aware Development

• Learn how AI-powered applications and agent-based systems are designed.
• Contribute to building APIs and services that can interact with AI systems.

Eligibility Criteria

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, AI/ML, Data Science, or related branches.
• Graduating in 2026.
• Academic Requirement: Minimum 80% (or equivalent CGPA) in 10th, 12th, and BE/B.Tech, with no active backlogs and no history of backlogs/arrears.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), DBMS, Operating Systems, and Computer Networks.
• Good programming skills in Java (preferred) or any object-oriented programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for learning new technologies.
• Demonstrated interest in AI-assisted software development through projects, hackathons, internships, coding competitions, or open-source contributions.

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Strong fundamentals of Java programming.
• Basic knowledge of Spring Boot or backend development frameworks.
• Understanding of REST APIs and web technologies.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, or AI development tools is a plus.
• Personal projects, hackathons, internships, or open-source contributions are highly valued.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Built projects using AI tools, LLMs, Agentic AI frameworks, or GenAI APIs.
• Participated in coding competitions, hackathons, or technical challenges.
• Developed web, mobile, or full-stack applications.
• Experience contributing to GitHub projects or open-source communities.
• Written technical blogs, research papers, or shared technical content publicly.
• Demonstrated strong curiosity for AI-assisted software development and emerging technologies.
