Larsen & Toubro is seeking an AI/ML Software Engineer to architect and deploy machine learning systems within digital learning and platform products.

You will design and build applications powered by large language models, NLP, and vector databases, and connect ML services to downstream applications through APIs. You will work across the full lifecycle from prototype to production and monitoring.

Qualificações

• Proficient in Python and software development fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical applications.
• Experience deploying Generative AI/LLM based solutions.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and data flows between services.
• Basic SQL and relational databases.
• Experience using Git/GitHub in team projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Write clean, scalable Python code powering AI features.
• Tune prompts and optimise LLM-based app behavior for production.
• Manage data prep, model evaluation, and ML pipeline testing.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, UI/UX, and data science teams.
• Participate in code reviews, QA testing, and documentation.
• Build prototypes to evaluate new AI tech approaches.
• Support CD processes and monitor production system health.

About the role:

• Larsen & Toubro seeks an AI/ML Software Engineer to architect and deploy machine learning systems within digital learning and platform products
• You will design and build applications powered by large language models, natural language processing, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector database technologies
• The role bridges AI capabilities with existing production systems by developing and maintaining APIs that connect machine learning services to downstream applications
• You will work across the full lifecycle: from initial prototyping and proof-of-concept exploration to deployment, debugging, and ongoing system monitoring

What you'll work on:

• Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable Python code that forms the backbone of AI-driven features
• Optimising prompts and refining LLM-based application behaviour for production performance
• Managing data preparation workflows, running model evaluations, and executing testing protocols within ML pipelines
• Collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, UI/UX Design, and Data Science teams to align technical work with business goals
• Participating in code review cycles, quality assurance testing, and technical documentation
• Building prototypes and experimental implementations to validate emerging AI technology approaches
• Supporting continuous deployment processes and monitoring system health in production environments

What we're looking for:

• Solid command of Python programming and core software development principles
• Foundational grasp of artificial intelligence and machine learning theory and practice
• Practical experience building or deploying applications using Generative AI and large language models
• Working knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG architectures, embedding techniques, vector databases, and NLP pipelines
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, LangChain, or LlamaIndex
• Understanding of REST API design and development patterns
• Elementary proficiency with SQL and relational database systems
• Experience using Git and GitHub within collaborative software development workflows
• Strong capacity for analytical thinking and systematic problem-solving
